Mei Chen
"I work with people who've had a real opening on the cushion and don't know what to do with the rest of their week."
Booking happens on Mei Chen's own scheduling system. The Wholeness Work doesn't hold the calendar.
About Mei Chen.
I trained in Vipassanā for twelve years before I encountered the Wholeness Work. The opening I'd found in long retreats kept collapsing when I went home. The teachers I asked told me to sit more. The therapists I asked told me to sit less. Neither answer was right.
The Wholeness Work was the first thing I found that worked on the thing actually getting in the way — the felt sense of a separate self that re-asserts itself the moment a retreat ends. I now work mostly with long-term meditators in the same position I was in: real openings that don't yet hold in daily life.
I'm based in Singapore and offer sessions in English and Mandarin. I certified with Connirae in 2022. Most of my clients are practitioners themselves — meditators, teachers, people who've already done years of inner work and want something that goes underneath it.
What I tend to focus on.
These are the patterns clients arrive with most often. The work itself doesn't depend on the pattern — the method is the same whether you're working with anxiety, grief, a stuck habit, or just a sense of background tension you can't quite name.
What a session is like.
A session is 60 to 90 minutes, on video call. Mei Chen guides you through the Wholeness Work, slowly enough that you can actually feel what's happening. You don't need to know the method beforehand — coaches are trained to lead you through it without prior context.
- You bring whatever's present. A pattern, a feeling, a situation. You don't need to know what you "want to work on." Most clients don't, at first.
- The coach leads you through the process. Gentle questions, no re-living difficult material, no narrative work. You stay in your own experience throughout.
- What shifts, shifts on its own. The method works by dissolution, not by effort. Many clients describe the session afterwards as "less like therapy, more like the inside of the room got bigger."
- You leave with something repeatable. Over time, the process becomes something you can use on your own, between sessions.
